Aide
Required Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate
- Fingerprint, Child Abuse Index, TB and Health Clearances
- First Aid and Pediatric CPR
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written communications. Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are a plus.
- Ability to be flexible
Responsible for:
- Providing primary care and safety for children under the direct supervision of a teacher.
- Implementing appropriate activities for children each day
- Participating in the observation and evaluation of each child’s progress and complete developmental assessments, as required
- Assisting with the cooking and cleaning, when needed
- Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas
- Working cooperatively with staff members, CDCLA administration and parents
- Actively participating in all trainings and staff meetings

Assistant Teacher
Required Education and Experience:
- 6 semester units in ECE OR an ROP Certificate
- Child Development Assistant Teacher Permit (optional)
- Fingerprint, Child Abuse Index, TB and Health Clearances.
- First Aid and Pediatric CPR
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of child development principles and young children.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum planning
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written communications. Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are a plus
- Ability to be flexible

Family Care Coordinator
Required Education and Experience:
- Two years of experience in a professional capacity working with family child care providers.
- AA/AS Degree in Child Development or a related field.
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to work well with people, a sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
- Ability to complete DRDPs and FCCERS
- Possess or be eligible for a valid Child Development Teacher or Associate Teacher permit
- Computer skills and knowledge of Windows software, including Microsoft Word.
- Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English.
- A California Driver’s License, daily use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance.
- Knowledge of child development principles and young children.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum planning
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written communications. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to be flexible in types of tasks assigned
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
Responsible for:
- Work cooperatively with staff members, CDCLA administration and parents
- Accurately complete all assigned paperwork and documentation on a timely basis
- Works under the Program Director to coordinate a network of Family Child Care Providers
- Provide training and support to a network of Family Child Care Providers (Providers).
- Provide onsite consultation during scheduled site visits to Providers.
- Assist Providers to create individual learning plans for each child in the network.
- Manage all paperwork, Provider files and state reports,
- Provide assistance to and resolve problems with parents, Providers and the community.
- Represent agency at community meetings as directed.
- Maintain knowledge of State Department of Education Child Division regulations, state law, Community Care Licensing regulations, and other relevant regulations.
- Actively participating in all trainings and staff meetings·

Assistant Site Director
Required Education and Experience:
- AA in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
- Possess or qualify for a Site Supervisor Permit
- Minimum 3 year experience with Desired Results or NAEYC Accreditation System
- Computer skills in MS Word and Excel
- Fingerprint, Child Abuse Index, TB and Health Clearances.
- Current Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR and Preventative Health certification
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of child development principles and young children.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum planning
- Ability to assign, monitor, and review the work of others.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
Responsible for:
- Assume responsibility for the operation of the Center in the Site Director’s Absence
- Plan and implement children’s program based on the High/Scope Curriculum
- Prepare and implement individual education plans for children
- Supervise and interact with children and parents in a positive manner
- Provide a well-supervised safe environment with a variety of active learning experiences for children
- Supervise Teachers, Associate Teachers and Assistant Teachers
- Participate in planning and implementing parent meetings and activities
- Accomplish other duties as assigned to create and maintain a quality children’s program
- Accurately complete all assigned paperwork and documentation on a timely basis
Compensation:
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour. Full-time, permanent, non-exempt position. Benefit package includes health, dental, and life insurance, paid holidays and sick days. 403(b), vision, and AFLAC available.
