Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles
Making a Difference in the Lives of Children and their Families
The Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles (CDCLA) was created by early childhood educators and established as a nonprofit corporation in 1978.
Our Mission
The Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles is dedicated to providing and supporting programs that offer high quality early education programs to children birth to five, regardless of socioeconomic status; increasing the professionalism of those who work in the child development field; and working with professionals in other fields to increase the level of understanding and support for child care and early education programs.
Family child care and early learning programs
We provide direct early care and education services, consulting services to corporations and other child development programs, and parent education. We are funded by parent fees, in-kind services from the County of Los Angeles, and CalTrans, private foundation grants and contracts with the California Department of Education and the California Department of Social Services.
Currently, CDCLA operates 11 child care centers throughout the greater Los Angeles area and we work with a network of family child care homes.
